How do I search for a property?

To search for properties on our online TV website, select "Property Search" from the "Channel List" drop down menu above the screen, or use the search bar located above the video.

You will be asked to specify if you looking for properties to buy or to rent; and to enter a location, with the option of how close to that specific location you wish to search. You may also select a minimum and maximum price bracket, the number of bedrooms and the type of property you are looking for. If you wish to be more specific in your search criteria, click on the "Advanced search" link.

Once you click the "Search" button, your search results will appear as a gallery of thumbnail images. Depending on the number of properties returned in the property search, there may be more than one page returned in your search results; the option of moving through each page of properties is given below the images, as well as links to the first and last pages.

At this stage, you may refine your search, rearrange the list of properties in order of price or date added, or change the number of results viewed on each page. You may also refine your search to all properties still available, by clicking the "Include SSTC" (Sold Subject to Contract) and "Include Under Offer" tick boxes.

To watch the video and find out further details on a property of your choice, click on the "Play" button on the bottom right of the image. The other icons enable you to share the video across social networking sites.

Furthermore, a selection of our most recently added properties appears below the video player, under the "Latest Properties" banner. To view any of these videos, simply click the "Play" button on the bottom right of the image.

How does the "Playlist" function work?

Our online TV website allows you to keep track of the properties you have viewed, by creating a playlist. This can be accessed by clicking on the "Playlist" tab, to the right of the "Channel List" above the video player.

A drop down menu provides you with a range of options. You can see which properties you have viewed by selecting "Your list so far", or you can choose to show your most recently viewed properties. If you wish to change the order of the playlist, click the "Up" or "Down" arrows, and you may also remove properties from your playlist by clicking the "X" symbol.

Further options allow you to play your whole Playlist from the start or from the end, and you can also save and clear your playlist from this menu. If you want to save a video to watch later, click "Watch Later".

"Your List So Far" keeps deleting itself – how can I avoid this?

Our online TV channel uses cookies to keep track of which properties you have viewed, which appear in the "Your List So Far" tab in the "Playlist" menu.

By disabling cookies or clearing your browsing history on a regular basis, it may prevent the "Your List So Far" list from generating. This can be resolved by making sure to enable cookies or keeping your browsing history.

Every time I click on a property video, it starts with an advert. Can I avoid this?

Every property on our TV site is sponsored by an advertiser with a short advert before and after every property video. It is not possible to skip this part of the video presentation.

My videos are slow to load. Why?

Poor network activity is the number one cause of slow video loading. This may be a problem with your network, or it may be caused by your Internet Service Provider being overloaded, which is especially likely during peak usage hours.

Insufficient network bandwidth is also a major reason behind slow video loading. Factors such as a slow network connection, too many services or applications using your local network and too many people using the local network can use up all the bandwidth and leave no data for the video stream to load adequately.

Also, try clearing the history and cache in your browser, or try closing other programs while viewing our video.

If it is an older model, your computer may simply be too slow to play the video; in which case, why not view the text version of the property script by clicking on the transcripts button or by clicking the more details link in the player window.

How does the Services section work?

Select the Services tab from the channel list to discover our complete range of services; choose the service that interests you and watch a video providing further details. If you encounter any viewing problems, the transcript tab will allow you to view a text copy of the script. For more information about each service, please contact us using the details beneath the video.
